What are you humming?

The biggest problem society can face, is the limitation and control of art, or of what art is and means.

I understand that initially we think, our safety must be guarded at all costs.

However, it's art and human creativity that must be guarded at all costs!

Because the principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke.

To evoke your inner guide, your consciousness.

So that you are forced to think for yourself and question anything that doesn't resonate with your own common sense.

Only then can you make an informed consent, pertaining on how you want to live your life.

Unfortunately safety and art (i.e. freedom) cannot reside next to each other. It's either one or the other!

The only thing that is not outsource-able in this world is human creativity.

To my son, the musician.

To create a work of art, one must create from a place of pure authenticity.

To find the place of pure inner authenticity, one must let go of the outcome and submerge oneself into the process.

Only the process is of utmost importance, everything else will follow naturally.

The artist embraces and allows pain. Pain is outside of your comfort zone, but it's also inside your comfort zone.

Your only choice as an artist is, whichever pain you decide to live with at the very moment.

The experience of an artist block is the result of holding on to fear. And it's not the fear of failure, it's fear of greatness. Art takes courage, get used to the pain.
